2024 Home Run Derby

7 - 9 Year Olds @ the Sports Field
20 pitches or 10 swings

7 Year Olds: 4:00 - 4:20pm
8 Year Olds: 4:25 - 4:50pm
9 Year Olds: 4:55 - 5:20pm

10 - 12 Year Olds @ the Richardson Field
10 swings per competition

10 Year Olds: 5:30-6:00pm
11 Year Olds: 6:00-6:25pm
12 Year Olds: 6:25-6:45pm
Team Competition: 6:45-7:30pm

Team Competition Info:

  • Teams of two will compete in a 16-team playoff. Each team that wins will advance to the next round.

  • Teams will consist of a 12-year-old little league player and his teammate of choice. This can be a friend, parent, or sibling. Please enter your partner's Age and Experience (from Tee Ball to MLB) in the notes field.
  • 12 Y.O. will hit from 150 feet
  • Dad’s and older siblings will hit from 205 feet
  • Mom’s will hit from 120 feet

  • Each team gets 10 swings (5 for each team member) Point scoring will be the same as above.

  • “Play-with-a-Pro” Special Guest Participant to be auctioned off prior to the competition.

Prizes and Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

Pizza and drink available for purchase along with some bouncy house fun will be open to everyone at the Richardson Field. All are welcome. Stay and watch the Team Home Run Competition with a special guest participant, Mike Sweeney! 

If you purchased a package for Opening Day then your credit will be applied for the Home Run Derby. Just sign up using the Pay by Check option.

Each age bracket will have its own set of parameters and distances. All age groups are base on little league ages (check here).

USA Little League Approved Baseball Bats only.

Scoring: Each age group winner will be based on net score from their pitches. 

Ball that rolls or bounces to the fence = 1 point 
Ball that hits the fence on the fly = 2 points 
Ball hit over the fence = 5 points
